I’m looking for information on my family, or any help on learning how to research in Croatia, online if possible.
My ancestors were Ana Puhac and Andrew (Andrija/Andro) Pehnec, both from Dolna Velika, Belovar, born around 1890’s, they moved to America.
Ana Puhac’s parents were Marko and Susa Puhac. Ana was one of the youngest of about 13 children, she was sent to America at about 13 years old, and had a friend Rosie (Maybe last name Sabolek) that went with her.
Andrew (Audrija, Andro) Pehnec’s parents were Mike (Mijalo?) and Ana Pehnec. He came to America with a brother Mathew/Mato. I think they were friends with the Saboleks.Hello Shelly, This was some time ago so I am not sure you will receive this, but you might be a relative of mine. We are searching for the same people. My Great-Grandfather was Andy (Andro) Puhac, and his wife was Anna Puhac, originally from Pittsburgh area and relocated to Gloversville NY. Please reach out to me with email provided.
