I have interest in the names Kurelja/Resic/Karach/Polack. These are the last names of my family members who immigrated to the United states in the late 19th and early 20th century.
The only family member that I know of that is tied to a specific place is Lucia Kurelja born about 1861 of Lagosta (Lastovo) widowed. her son I believe is Anton Kurelja married to Antoinette Resic who are my great grandparents.
On my opposite side I have Peter Karach and Kristina Polack who immigrated between 1910 and 1912 their nationality is listed as Austria-Hungarian but also of croatian decent. All are Roman Catholic.
Any help would be greatly appreciatedAnta Maria Rešić was born at 7 pm on Sept 16 1888 in Lastovo, in the family of Trojan (father Ivan) Rešić, and Antica (father Jozo) Slava. Trojan and Slava married on Feb 8 1885 in Lastovo.
Antonio Luca Kurelja was born on Feb 5 1887 at 6 pm in the family of Cristofor (father Antonio) Kurelja and Lucia (father Antonio) Fantella.
